Symptom patterns vary from person to person but can include:

  • Heart palpitations

Treatment

It’s essential to treat anxiety over a course of sessions in order to explore and resolve the root cause subconscious issues. It’s very common for anxiety to have been caused by incidents of emotional trauma, sexual abuse, grief, bullying and abusive relationships. It’s origins are most often in childhood or teenage years and usually the symptoms have been noticeable for many years but gradually become debilitating or career limiting.

The neurological wiring networks of the brain become etched into robust inner patterns, caused by the constant and long standing anxiety reactions. These neural patterns require expertise to facilitate their collapse and the subsequent building of new and helpful neural networks which function as the antidote to what preceded. This process of inner rewiring is called Neural Plasticity, and the good news is, that with a skilled therapist and highly targeted techniques, anxiety responds extremely well to practitioner intervention and support.

“Over the last 5 years I have been on what could be best described as an emotional rollercoaster ride which got worse in the last 3 years due to an unhappy marriage and being undecided about another relationship. ” Before I started seeing Lisa I’d had various other therapies from many professionals throughout my life for the last 18 years, ranging from cognitive behavioural therapy, counselors and keyworkers and yet achieved hardly any changes or felt judged and labeled or more anxious than when I started therapy.

“Following a traumatic childhood involving domestic violence and mental abuse, I had issues which affected me, and my relationships for 27 years.
